Design
Good design creates value. It permeates the entire value chain and is about what we see, but also about what we experience, feel and not least what we do.
We help you with identity, logo and graphic profile, digital and print advertising, web design, packaging design, trade fairs and exhibitions, UI and UX design, animation, printed matter and design of promotional items.
We can help you with:
Graphic design
Graphic design is an interdisciplinary umbrella term for the design of visual communication in a variety of forms. These include print and digital advertisements, logos, brochures, product packaging, film and animation, digital and physical media - in fact, all surfaces where the visual design helps to convey a message. Our designers have extensive experience and a great deal of professional expertise when it comes to shaping messages.
Identity / graphic profile
A visual identity/graphic profile is created through the logo, colors, typography, additional elements, slogans, idea concepts, animations and other elements that characterize our communication surfaces. But identity is about more than the visual. It's about people in their interaction with customers and their surroundings. The voice, the customer service, the user journey, the way we respond - in other words, the total customer experience. We help you find the right identity for you, and get it across in all relevant surfaces and channels.
Logo
A good logo is not a decorative element; it is a strategic tool that creates instant identity, sets you apart from your competitors, is scalable, and works across surfaces and channels. Our ADs have designed logos for large and small brands and businesses across a wide range of industries and markets. What they all have in common, whether they are simple or complex, is that they are rooted in the brand and, not least, that they work effectively in practice. In this article, we explain in more detail what makes a logo work.
Concept / idea
A clear concept can be the foundation of your company's identity, or it can be the basis for a single campaign. We have extensive experience in developing visual concepts that support the core of your message and make it accessible and memorable to your target audience.
Digital ads
A clear majority of all ads today are digital. They range from "simple" posters with images and text to advanced animations, videos and games. What they all have in common is that their appearance is not random. Our designers have extensive experience in designing messages that make an impact, whether they are moving or static. And regardless of whether they are to be displayed on mobile, computer, TV or a huge outdoor screen.
Print ads
Even though digital screens have taken over as the largest advertising surface, print media is still an important one. Our experienced designers create print ads that make sure your message gets across as effectively as possible, no matter where.
Motion graphics (animation)
Simply put, motion graphics are graphic elements that move. You've probably seen examples of it: Logos that move, text that flies this way and that - all graphic elements that move on the screen. Motion graphics fall under the broader term "animation", but when we produce for our customers, we usually distinguish between animated films and motion graphics. Pixar makes animated films, we make motion graphics.
Animated explanatory videos
A two-minute animated film can explain what twenty slides cannot. Some processes, products, and systems are simply easier to show than to describe, and that’s when animation is the most effective tool. We always start by familiarizing ourselves with the subject matter together with the client, distilling it down to its core, and developing a visual style rooted in the brand’s identity and tone. The result is explanatory videos so simple that viewers can recount the essence after watching them just once. Read more and see examples on this page.
Websites
Website design is about visual design, user experience and user flow. We help you with the entire process, whether you need a completely new website and a new design system, you need to update your current pages in a new profile or you need help to create a better user experience and increase conversions.
Interaction design (IxD)
Interaction design is an umbrella term for the discipline that works with the meeting between man and machine. The aim is to design user experiences (UX) and user interfaces (UI) that ensure the best possible interaction.
User experience (UX)
UX design (user experience) is about how people use digital solutions such as websites and apps. UI is closely related to UX, and together they make up the design of a digital solution. Your website is often your most important communication surface, and the design has a major impact on both the brand experience and the customer experience. The navigation must be intuitive, the buttons clear and the content must provide answers to your questions. That's why we have in-house specialists in UX and UI design who ensure that our sites are easy to use, appealing and function properly.
User interface (UI)
UI (user interface) design is the process of designing the visual and interactive layer, i.e. what the user actually sees and uses, in digital products such as websites and apps. UI includes layout, visual style, interaction and accessibility.
Printed matter
We design and produce magazines, prospectuses, packaging, business cards, newspapers, brochures and everything else that can be printed. Do you want special paper? UV varnish or embossing? We'll be happy to show you all the possibilities. We design and prepare everything for printing, and we have many good partners who ensure that the physical result is an innertier.
Annual reports
An annual report is not just an annual report. Should it be in PDF format or interactive and digital? Are you so large that you are covered by the ESEF regulations and must publish the report in XHTML format? Should you put a lot of effort into the annual report and use it to create content that you can publish in other channels too, or "just" keep it simple? We have extensive experience in designing annual reports according to all formal requirements, and in all forms. We can assist with everything from planning, content production and design to printing.
Newsletters
Few channels provide such effective direct communication with customers and other interested parties as the newsletter does when used correctly. We'll help you design templates and newsletters that hit the mark, as well as assisting with the rest of the process from planning and strategy to mailing and analysis.
Knives
A good trade show booth is all about the overall impression. The physical layout, illustrations, text, and choice of materials must all come together to give the audience an experience they’ll remember. We have helped clients stand out at trade shows around the world through concept development, design and layout, messaging, illustrations, vendor coordination, and quality assurance. When it comes to physical construction, we collaborate with skilled partners both domestically and internationally. Read more about trade show design and see examples of our work here.
Conferences
A conference brings the entire target audience together in one room. Backdrops, animated transitions, and stage design help tie the message and brand together into a cohesive brand experience that people remember the day after. We develop concepts for conferences and apply them across all relevant platforms, including animated backgrounds, screen content, and printed and digital program and marketing materials. The goal is for the overall experience to feel well-thought-out without the design overshadowing the content. Read more about conference design and see examples of our work here.
Anniversary
An anniversary is a rare opportunity to bring together employees, customers, and industry peers around a shared purpose—and let your story reveal who you truly are. It calls for a concept that can convey both solemnity and joy, and that works just as well in a video shown during the event as it does in the months of content posted on LinkedIn afterward. We develop the concept and the visual identity—logo, film, campaign content, set design, and event design—and ensure that everything points in the same direction. See what we did when SalmoBreed 25.
Universal design (UD)
Universal design is about planning and designing physical and digital products, environments and services so that they can be used by everyone, regardless of disability. For us, this is mainly about visual and technical design and interaction. For example, designing websites to make it easier for blind and partially sighted people to read the content with or without a screen reader, or making it easier for everyone to use digital services on mobile phones, even with reduced fine motor skills.
Profile and promotional items
Do you want to give customers extra attention? Or do you want to show off your employees? Perhaps you're attending a trade fair and need something that will make visitors remember you above all the others? We have extensive experience of designing branding on physical items and surfaces, such as cars, clothing, signs and business cards. We also work closely with a number of companies that can help you with the physical production.
Lectures and courses
Do you want to learn more about a design or design-related topic? We can help you with customized lectures and courses, depending on what you need.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a logo and a visual identity/profile?
A logo is a single element—the mark itself. A visual identity, or graphic profile, is the entire system surrounding it: the logo, colors, typography, additional elements, imagery, and possibly slogans and animations—everything that, taken together, makes you recognizable across different platforms. Most people who think they need a logo actually need a visual identity. We’ll help you figure out what’s the right level for you.
How many proposals and rounds of revisions will we get?
We agree on this in advance, and it varies depending on the scope of the project. For a brand identity process, we typically present several concepts; you choose one, and then we refine it through adjustments and testing before finalizing the brand guide. For smaller projects, there are fewer rounds. The number of rounds and what’s included are specified in the estimate, so you know the scope before we begin.
Can you update an existing profile, or does everything have to be created from scratch?
Both are possible. Sometimes a brand just needs an update—to function better digitally or be modernized without losing its distinctive character. Other times, it makes more sense to build something new from the ground up. We’ve done both—from carefully updating time-honored brands to creating entirely new identities—and we’ll recommend whatever works best for you. We’ll figure out together what’s right for you.
Do we have to commit, or can we start small?
You can certainly start small. Many clients begin with a specific project, and then we build on that if desired. If you have an ongoing need—such as regular maintenance, content creation, or advertising—a retainer agreement can be both more cost-effective and more predictable, because we can then work systematically on what yields the best results over time. We’ll recommend whatever best suits your needs.
What do you need from us to get started?
Less than many people think. Usually, all it takes is a conversation about what you want to achieve, and access to whatever profile, materials, or data you already have. We’ll figure out the rest together as we go. If anything is unclear, our first task is often to help you pinpoint exactly what you need.
Are you a good fit for small businesses, large corporations, and the public sector?
Yes to everyone. We work with everyone from startups on a tight budget to large corporations and public sector organizations with extensive requirements. Our portfolio ranges from municipalities and government agencies to international companies and local businesses, and we have extensive experience with the requirements associated with public sector projects, such as universal design, plain language, and privacy. We tailor the solution to your needs and budget.
How much does it cost?
It depends entirely on the project. A simple campaign, a new website, and a multi-year framework agreement naturally fall into different price ranges, and we never quote a price until we understand exactly what you need. What we always do is provide you with a clear estimate before we get started, so you know what to expect. We can work on an hourly basis or for a fixed price, and for ongoing needs, we’re happy to set up an agreement with a fixed number of hours per month. Get in touch for a no-obligation chat, and we’ll figure out what works best for you.
How do you work, from the initial contact to final delivery?
Every project is different, so we tailor the process to the task at hand. But the basic structure remains the same: We start by getting to know you, the market, and the target audience. We then develop a concept or direction, which we present to you before moving into production. Throughout the process, we maintain close communication, show you our work, and make adjustments based on your feedback. Finally, we launch the project and follow up. For smaller assignments, this process is quick and informal; for larger projects, we work through several rounds of insights, sketches, and adjustments. You’ll know where we are in the process and what the next step is every step of the way.
How long does it take?
It depends on the project. A simple project can be completed in a matter of days, while a new visual identity, a larger website, or a strategic process can take weeks or months, often involving several rounds of revisions along the way. Once we understand the scope, we’ll provide you with a realistic timeline with dates and milestones, so we both know what we’re working toward. We’d rather promise a little less than a little too much.
Who will we be working with, and will we have a designated contact person?
With us, you’ll work with a single dedicated account manager who is familiar with your project, so you won’t have to deal with a different person every time you reach out. Behind this contact person is a multidisciplinary team where consultants, designers, developers, and copywriters work together under one roof. We handle the coordination between these disciplines internally, so you can deal with a single point of contact.
Who owns what you're making?
What you pay for is yours. You own the finished products we create, whether it’s a logo, a visual identity, a website, or other materials. When we build websites, we also use solutions that don’t lock you into working with us. We use open source software whenever possible and provide you with training, so you’re free to further develop or migrate the solution later on. We want you to stay with us because you want to, not because you have to.
Can we purchase just one service, or do we have to buy the whole package?
You can buy exactly what you need. Whether you just need a logo, a campaign, or help with advertising, we’ll take care of it. Just because we offer the full range of services under one roof doesn’t mean you have to use everything—it means you can easily expand as your needs grow, without having to bring in new vendors. We recommend what we think you actually need, and we’ll be honest if something isn’t worth the money for you.
Can we get some references or see examples of similar work you've done?
Of course. We’ve worked with clients throughout Western Norway and beyond, many of them for many years. You’ll find a selection of projects under “Work” in the menu, and we’d be happy to show you work that’s relevant to your needs. We work with local, national, and international clients.
Why choose an agency in Bergen a large agency in Oslo?
Because you get a personal touch, a full range of services, and people who know Western Norway. We’re a mid-sized agency that brings together strategy, design, web, content, and digital marketing under one roof, without departmental silos between disciplines. This ensures quick decision-making and a single point of contact for you. With us, you’ll meet experienced professionals who know their craft and do the work themselves. We’ve been based in Bergen 1945 and know the business community, cultural scene, and public sector in Western Norway well, while also working for clients far beyond the region.
